Each grading term one student from each grade is chosen for demonstrating outstanding Christian character.
St. Edmund supplements the current English/Language Arts curriculum with the Accelerated Reading program. Students read books on their ability level and are rewarded for achieving individual goals at the end of each grading term. At the end of the school year, students are recognized for highest growth and achievement.
Each spring St. Edmund library hosts its annual Scholastic Book Fair. The week long event is centered around the love of books. A variety of activities enhance the annual book sale.
In 4-H, we believe in the power of young people. We see that every child has valuable strengths and real influence to improve the world around us. In 4-H programs, children complete hands-on projects in areas like health, science, agriculture, and civic engagement in a positive environment where they receive guidance from adult mentors and are encouraged to take on proactive leadership roles. 4-H empowers young people with the skills to lead for a lifetime. It is a research-based experience that includes a mentor, a hands-on project, and a meaningful leadership opportunity. Head, Heart, Hands, and Health are the four H’s in 4-H, and they are the four values members work on through fun and engaging programs. Students interested in joining should inform the club sponsor.
